Dheeran Adghigaram Ondru starring Karthi is complete. Sources say that it may join the Deepavali race with Vijay starrer Mersal.
Sources say that it being a festive occasion, people will have a reason to throwing theatres. Any big movie releasing on a festive occasion will draw more crowd, they feel.
Industry trackers say that with recent FEFSI strike, a lull after GST was implemented; schedules of few releases were postponed. As a result a few movies saw a delayed release. So many consider coming on a festive day would be beneficial for them.
Mersal, directed by Atlee, is produced by Sri Thenandal Films. Music is by A R Rahman. The movie features Vijay in triple roles and the cast includes Nithya Menon, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Vadivelu, SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Kovai Sarala and Sathyan.
It can also be noted that Aala Poran Tamilan (single) from the film which was released recently received great response from his fans. Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru features Karthi in the role of a police officer. Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame has directed the film. Rakul Preet Singh plays the heroine.
